Protection

Sunday, February 7, 2010

I was reading a health magazine and it made me think I should be needing more effective yet affordable cleanser and disinfectant suitable for household and smaller cleaning and disinfecting uses that would kill bacteria, does not leave behind harmful chemical residues, and a good protection from infectious pathogens based on what I have read in this magazine. I have to read more and do more research on this.

Straight Duty

Thanks to the boss who is “sick” and H went to two straight duty shift since last night. It maybe a blessing in disguise I thought coz he will have seem to have longer time to spend with us till tomorrow. But then if his other officemate won’t give up his leave scheduled tomorrow, he will work overtime 12 hours tomorrow! Just great isn’t it?

How much more for me who is on duty 24/7, 365 days and no day off granted for almost two years now by my hubby “employer” plus rarely given an allowance and no sick leave unlike employed people who even has pay and bonus. Hope they will realize the sacrifice that has been given too and it’ll be appreciated at least.

Cold

Saturday, February 6, 2010

It has been noticeably colder the past few night here at home and sometimes I could wish we have one of those Amish fireplaces. It is a roll and heat electric fireplace that you can move around  the house as you can put it in the living room, in your dining area or in the bed room. Also you  can even keep or hide in the storage if you don’t need it anymore. It is an electric heater that looks like a real fireplace and gives our realiztic flame. I like the modern look of these fireplaces and I know you’d love to have one of them too.

New Faucet

Thursday, February 4, 2010

We really need to find a new faucet before it totally gives up on us and cause more damage in the kitchen. Those Delta faucets for the kitchen sink I have seen last week are similar to the one we have now and i like to have that same design on the kitchen faucet. It makes washing more easy to do and finish faster. Their prices are also reduced now up to 40% so it would be a good deal too to buy it now.

Love Month

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

It is the love month once again and am sure despite the times, there are still those hopeful romantics who’d surely wanna give their loved ones and even family and closest friends something to show their love this month of February. With Valentine’s just less than two weeks away, I am trying to find a personalized gift for hubby.

I recently found the YouNique boutique which sells unique custom made gifts like photo pillows, photograph blankets, photo bags, wall plates, photo platters, inscription platters, recipe prints, bridal jewelry, applique baby gifts, baby photo quilts, custom diaper bags, oil paintings, celebration plates, family portrait platters, photo collages, signature plates, personalized name prints, and a lot more to choose from for special occasions. I liked the photo pillows, blankets or bags. I’d love to have one each with a picture of me and my boys in it. I know hubby will love it as much as I do.

Pondering

Monday, February 1, 2010

I have been pondering on whether I need to get a new laptop since this has been acting but still usable though. It may just be the internet sometimes. But this laptop will be a year old in a couple of months and maybe I can get a chance to get a better one. I was hunting for good deals on laptops and I found good deals online. Those Black Friday and Cyber Monday special deals that offer up to 70% off the price like in buy.com are really tempting to avail of. I could only wich I can get one now so as not to miss out on those special offers and discounts!

Thursday Thunks

Thursday, January 28, 2010

1. Pants on the Ground…. ::: I have to say this made me laugh the first time I saw Larry Platt sing this in that American Idol audition.

2. To compliment Kimber’s question from last week…. have you ever fell down the stairs? ::: Fortunately no and hopefully never will.

3. Have you ever written to a company about their product? Ever called them? ::: I have called McDonalds one time to somehow complain about the sauce which I later found out was pineapple sauce or something that did not used to be there at their hamdesal with cheese. That time they delivered it to our house, I could not say what the sauce taste reminded me of then when I ate it , it would sting my tongue and i thought the McDo crew must have mistakenly placed something in my sandwich. The McDo delivery hotline staff insistedit was really part of that hamdesal. But I know for the many times we have ordered it before,it was not that plenty and I could not remember tasting or seeing it in my hamdesal.

I really pray that was not one of those gross story you read around in emails and in blogs where crews of some stores either spit or put something on your sandwich or food. If that happened to me, I would really make sure people would be made aware of. I’d post it in all my blogs and I’d sue the store. (more…)

Insured Home

Saturday, January 23, 2010

I got a message yesterday from my friend informing me that the house of her officemate who I also know and met a few times was burned down in a fire last week. At least it was an insured home and they were able to save some of their things. They are grateful to have their grandmother’s house to stay from now on but still that house has been sentimental with so much memories.

But losing a home is hard so it is but important to have our homes insured. There are some home insurance quote sites online where you can get to ask for quotesfor free and you get to compare insurance before you finally decide which offers the best insurance policy for you.
