We were at my parents’ home tonight and I saw some Christian videos at the dining table which we were not using tonight particularly animated Bible stories videos and I asked my nephew who it belongs to. He said it was just borrowed by my other sis from her friend for the kids to watch. I got interested since CT is becoming interested in watching cartoon TV shows but most of which are not that good. I noticed that I have to watch the shows on the cable TV with CT coz if not he will be able to watch cartoons that depicts not so good values. He can now imitate a little of the script and it is quite alarming. There are a lot of cartoon TV shows being shown that are often not fit for young kids to watch because of the wrong values and attitude of the characters being played on TV.
On the other hand, I am hoping he gets time to watch TV so that I can do the house chores without him tagging and clinging at my legs or pushing me away from what I am doing. I know he needs my attention but there are times that there are chores that must be done right away. But I also know I cannot leave him alone wathcing TV without parental guidance. As they say on TV, “some scenes and languages may not be suitable for very young audiences.” But I don’t think I need o worry about that when CT watches vidoes of animated bible stories.
