Thursday Thunks

Thursday, January 28, 2010

1. Pants on the Ground…. ::: I have to say this made me laugh the first time I saw Larry Platt sing this in that American Idol audition.

2. To compliment Kimber’s question from last week…. have you ever fell down the stairs? ::: Fortunately no and hopefully never will.

3. Have you ever written to a company about their product? Ever called them? ::: I have called McDonalds one time to somehow complain about the sauce which I later found out was pineapple sauce or something that did not used to be there at their hamdesal with cheese. That time they delivered it to our house, I could not say what the sauce taste reminded me of then when I ate it , it would sting my tongue and i thought the McDo crew must have mistakenly placed something in my sandwich. The McDo delivery hotline staff insistedit was really part of that hamdesal. But I know for the many times we have ordered it before,it was not that plenty and I could not remember tasting or seeing it in my hamdesal.

I really pray that was not one of those gross story you read around in emails and in blogs where crews of some stores either spit or put something on your sandwich or food. If that happened to me, I would really make sure people would be made aware of. I’d post it in all my blogs and I’d sue the store. (more…)

Insured Home

Saturday, January 23, 2010

I got a message yesterday from my friend informing me that the house of her officemate who I also know and met a few times was burned down in a fire last week. At least it was an insured home and they were able to save some of their things. They are grateful to have their grandmother’s house to stay from now on but still that house has been sentimental with so much memories.

But losing a home is hard so it is but important to have our homes insured. There are some home insurance quote sites online where you can get to ask for quotesfor free and you get to compare insurance before you finally decide which offers the best insurance policy for you.

Alleluia

Alleluia! The rain has stopped a few hours ago and the skies has cleared finally after days of waking up to cloudy skies and slow to heavy rain. Thank you Lord for letting us see Mr. Sun finally after a few days of rain. We were able to put out my lil boy’s Pooh bolster which needs to be exposed to the sun so it would dry faster. The neighbors were able to let out the clothes they’ve washed to let it dry in the sun. Thank you Lord though I hope it won’t be too hot outside though.

Cold Days

It has been raining for days and it is really cold at night especially that the aircon is still oneven at a cold, rainy night for the lil boy’s sake who sweats easily. But for hubby and me, we have to cover up and use two blankets. It did cross my mind hoping to get those safe low-voltage soft plush top heated mattress pads or even just the classic one that not only adds comfort to your mattress but gives consistent and even heat distribution to warm us through a cold, rainy night or day.

Koko Krunch Duo Free Sky Heroes Silver Twister

Friday, January 22, 2010
The lil boy wants some Koko Krunch Duo - chocolate and white chocolate flavor - which I think is way too early in the morning! As of now he managed to open the bottom of the box and found the Koko Krunch Duo free Sky Heroes Silver Twister. Hubby assembled it and now the toy is flying everywhere in the living room. It almost hit me in the head asit flew overhead when the lil boy tried it for the first time. Good thing I am short and was ableto duck at thesame time.

Bridge the Nutrient Gap

Sunday, January 17, 2010

My friend who wants to try having a baby with her hubby for the second time was advised to take prenatal vitamins to bridge the noticed nutrient gap in her daily diet. That is what her doctor said as these vitamins can help fill in the areas lacking in the diets of mothers-to-be, and these are also formulated to give nutrition in a synergistic manner. These vitamins and mineral are essential for both mother and baby. But an advice to mothers is that before you buy prenatal vitamins, it is always best to consult with your physician.

Fun In Between

All work and no play make one dull and gray as they say so I decided to have fun in between being busy and working on home chores and other tasks that needed to be done. I hope the lil boy will sleep early so I can focus later on. I am now playing the farm game I have revived and when am not hired I go back to work here. Gotta have a little fun in between as everyone needs a break you know. It relaxes meand makes me less tired. I have a long night ahead of me.

Little Improvement

There is a little improvement on my weight loss as I look smaller now in my photos compared before. Little is better than nothing at all. I did not had a feast much during the holidays which helped in not gaining more pounds. Though I’d really like to have one of those diets for quick weight loss which I have heard recently from a friend. I need to lose weight really before our HS class reunion in a few months time that is. I hope I can really make that work out I have been longing to do.

Done

Done with laundry for now and honestly still physically tiring even if we use two washing machines - the old one for the colored clothes while the new and bigger one for the white and lighter clothes. I’ll schedule the laundry for the lil boy’s clothes on Tuesday maybe but definitely not yet tomorrow. Sigh! Now done with laundry, I have to clean up the toys and mess made by the lil boy in the living room.

HIV

It has been a joke going around about someone close to me having HIV (not the virus that causes AIDS) but the one that means Hair-Is-Vanishing. It can be a bad joke for some men who cannot accept their hair loss problem. But seriously, I recently heard of this procerin that comes in a convenient tablet form which is to be taken daily for the treatment of male hair loss. It is an all-natural supplement available for those men out there who as they say are affected by hair loss problem.
