Want Some Corn?

Want some delicious Japanese sweet corn? I love corn as a substitute during dinner when I don’t want to eat rice. A piece of this costs P28. Quite expensive compared to the other corn sold elsewhere. If I want to diet, this is what I eat. It helps me eat less. It was a very effective diet when I was eating this a week or so to my wedding a few years ago. I really lost weight. 

Summer Getaway

Summer vacation for the little boy is just a month away. I would love for us to go on our own summer getaway in time for my birthday. I was originally planning for a beach getaway not near but far from the city. I am open to other options at this time. It would be such a delightful treat though to spend a week long vacation with the boys and after looking at the Disney World hotels offers now gave me a nice idea. 

I know it is kind of wishful thinking as of now. If only this is not so far from where we live, it would be fun to actually grab those discounted hotel rates that can even allow you to save when you are able to get the best rates on hotels near Disney World today and possibly extend your vacationfor a few more days to make the most of that summer getaway I wish we can have one summer in the future.

This Means War (Movie)

This Means War, a new movie coming out and I saw the trailer in a morning show at ANC a few days ago. Hubby seem to like to watch it that when we both got interetsed in when we saw this on the cinema hallway in one of the malls in town.

Two top CIA operatives wage an epic battle against one another after they discover they are dating the same woman. 

The movie stars Reese Witherspoon as the woman named Lauren who the two CIAs are both dating, with Chris Pine and Tom Hardy as the two CIAs in the movie. This started showing in the US last February17, 2012 and will start showing here in our cinemas on February 22.

Band Practice

After a long while, I could hear the band practice in the house next to us. It has been months since I last heard them playing band music. I could hear them playing one of my fave songs… Adele’s Rolling in the Deep.

Then next we could just hear the music from electric guitar alone. It does make me think of that solid body electric guitar that I found a couple of months back particularly the epiphone les paul studio electric guitar when I was trying to look for a musical instrument that the little boy could learn play as an option to piano.

It was something like the  guitar that I was looking into when the little boy saw me looking at and he said while pointing to it. He said, “Hey that is what Jonathan is playing!” Jonathan is the boy living in the house next to ours and he is part of the band which has been practicing their music in their house. I do appreciate their band practiceas I get to hear free live band music as long as they don’t play mid afternoon during nap time.

Loose Lego

These were the contents of the additional two packs of loose Lego for the little boy which made him really happy last Valentine’s Day. We bought this at GM.

This was our gift to him that he got when he came home from school on the special day. You should have seen his face light up with excitement when we told him we have a surprise for him.

In fact the dad is really creative in making his own Lego art and having more fun in it actually. We build our own towers and castles with these loose Lego pieces. With the three of us playing , I feel we may still need to get more packs of this when our budget allows us to. *wink*
