Christmas Music in the Air
Thursday, December 15, 2011Christmas music in the air indeed tonight as I could really hear loud music coming most probably from the church or maybe the school. Simbang Gabi or Misa de Gallo will start at dawn tomorrow. From what I know based on experience there is like a anticipated mass the evening before for those who would want to hear the nine-days Christmas novena mass in the evening.
I would wish to attend the novena mass in the evening but there is really a different kind of sacrifice that comes with it when we would try our best to complete the nine dawn novena masses in preparation for Christmas.
We should sleep earning tonight. The lil guy has fortunately fallen asleep early evening. I let him play at school for an hour and a half with his classmates after their class dismissal. He must have been so tired running around and playing with the kids at school. I just hope he will not wake up in the middle of the night later anymore but instead wake up early dawn so we could attend the first novena mass without much hassle while he adjusts to the time he will be waking up for the next nine mornings.
Finally
Finally there is a number already written outside the gate of the place we are living in. A lot of delivery men and even taxis get lost finding our place because there is not even a house number outside. But now we have one!
It would have been better if it was an Address Plaque that they placed on it instead. Wink! There are a great selection of those at great prices that I know I can find in an online store specifically for that. One can even personalize their very own address signs depending on their preference.
But I guess if we want an address plaque, we might just have to buy one by ourselves that is. For now am just grateful and appreciative that finally we have a house number written at the gate for faster and easier location of our place here in our street.
Cold!
Saturday, December 3, 2011It’s cold in here! I find myself somewhat adjusting to the cold in here now. It has been hot the past few days. After two days and nights of not being able to use the aircon, we were finally able to have it cleaned yesterday morning. I opted not to use it because the air that comes out of it smells like smoke, so concentrated or should I just say stronger than my son and I can tolerate.
I would rather not be able to sleep because of the hot weather even at night rather than sleep yet inhale that kind of smell of the air coming out from the aircon. I am really particular about it because my son is prone to mild asthma to which I am somewhat a candidate of though the test I took said I’m not.
This cold slows me down in my work. I am chilling already. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Maybe I just need to go to bed and hide under the warmth of my blanket.
Tablet
I am thankful for having a tablet that is easy to use and carry around giving users an exciting mobile experience. These days we do see a lot of people using tablets more other than the usual laptops and notebooks at coffee shops and almost anywhere.
A tablet for pc was in my nephew’s wish list. His mom and I were not surprised when we found out about it since he would often say that to me and my hubby that he wanted to have our tablet in case we would get a new one as an upgrade. I told my sister that for now that may take quite a long time of waiting yet.
There was one time that he mentioned the Blackberry Playbook as something he wanted. Well he has to work and study harder in order for him to earn what he wished for. Who knows one day he will get his very own tablet!
Merry Hot December
Friday, December 2, 2011Observing the weather as soon as the last month of the year stepped in, I say this is a merry ,hot December. It is the merry month of Christmas holiday yet it feels like summer for the past few days. I hear friends and people in any part of the country saying how hot the weather had been for the past few days.
I also read in the news that we could expect more hot days ahead. I have observed this kind of weather in the last few years during the months of December or January when it is said to be the coldest month in this country. But with weather changes and worse climate changes worsening, this may just be the effects in our climate that we have been dreading for. Moms can expect higher electric bills to pay by end of this month or next month for those who’d be using their aircons more often than they wish they would not in order to save during the holidays.
But we just have to learn to go on with the merriment despite the hot weather. I just hope there won’t be drastic changes in the weather each day coz that would mean our kids may get prone to being sick which is exactly the last thing that moms like me would want to happen. I am not being negative but the reality is kids like those in school can easily get sick and pass it on to classmates. It has been a concern and I hope it won’t be anymore. *Wink*
Now got to get some cole treat to beat this hot first Friday of December 2011! Don’t forget to hear mass today!
