Reputations, would you rather…

Be the person next door or the fantasy person that appears unattainable? (explain)

>>> I'd rather be the person next door as I want to live in peace and more quiet/simple kind of but very happy life. I don't think I would like to be a fantasy person who appears to be unattainable. I think I am not that ambitious nor do I want to be a snob.

Lie to maintain a “goody-goody” rep or not care what people thought about you? (explain)

>>> As much as possible I do not want to resort to lying just to look good to people and protect my reputation and image. As much as possible know, if the truth need be known even if it would hurt in one way or another then I'd rather face it. Sooner or later it will still come out isn't it? Now, I'd rather face the consequences as long as it is not that grave, and be honest if I made a mistake. I can reason out and let those concerned hear me out now why I said or did something rather than lying when they will possibly still find out the truth later on which might only complicate things especially relations with people which I don't want to avoid.

Go back in time to undo your mistakes or deal with the mistakes and learn from it? (explain)

>>> If I have the chance or power to go back in time to undo my mistakes then okay but if not then I might as well deal with the consequences for making that mistake and best to learn from it and not doing it again ever.

Be friends with people that make you look good or people that make you appear to have an edge? (explain)

>>> Can I choose both coz it seems they both just mean the same thing for me.

Stay friends with a person that betrays you or break it off and not give her/him another chance? (explain)

>>> I'd rather stay friends with people who betray me as I do not want to have any enemies or have people around whom I have hard feelings with. But then if a person still betrays me even after giving him/her a chance then maybe I would rather stay away from that person so as not to complicate things any more.

Hmmmm… this week's feast really made me think harder than I thought. Happy Tuesday everyone! :)

London’s Big Ben

Sunday, November 4, 2007

This is London's famous landmark the Big Ben and its official name is Clock Tower located near the Houses of Parliament of Great Britain in Westminster, London. The Big Ben is the world's largest four-faced chiming turret clock and it was shown in the movie Independence Day in 1996 below the big alien destroyer in that movie.  This is a photo taken with my sister Len who works in UK for almost three years now. I wish I could visit her there and she could take me there for a souvenir photo. I would really love that! Len if ever you read this post, I am serious! :)

Tagged by Rose

Saturday, November 3, 2007

I got this tag from Rose two weeks ago and only got the time now to do this… as they say better late than never. Thanks so much Rose for tagging me :)

Would you rather…

Eat a live cockroach (the big hissing ones) or eat a stick of butter?
>>> Oh my it would be obvious that I would prefer to eat a stick of butter rather than eat a roach. I can't even stand seeing one especially those that fly around how much more if i eat it. I have never dreamed of being in a Fear Factor like situation. I had experienced before where a cockroach crept in my legs and it is really creepy that I don't want to remember it anymore.

Go bunjee jumping or sky diving?

>>> Since I have not experienced both before I want to them both too. But if I really have to choose one then maybe I would choose sky diving. :)

Eat a lime or a lemon?

>>> I would probably choose eating a lemon. :)

Be stranded on a deserted island alone or be stranded on a deserted island with someone you hate?

>>> Maybe I would choose to be stranded on a deserted island with someone I hate so that at least I would have someone to help me survive and who knows we may even become the best of the best of friends in the whole world after that. But it really depends on how much hate I have in that person. As of now I don't have any person in mind whom I hate that much so it probably would not be a problem.

Be able to read minds or be able to become invisible?

>>> Being able to read minds preferably but that might make me so bothered imagine being able to read minds and knowing what other people can't dare say to you or to someone else. But being invisible would be great too just like Jessica Alba's character in Fantastic Four. :)

Now it is time to pass this tag to Race, JennyL and Norm.

Friday Feast (6)

Friday, November 2, 2007

Appetizer
How much money do you plan to spend this upcoming holiday season?
>>> As little as possible for we plan to save more for CT's birthday on January. But we still would like to shop a little for little gifts for the family.

Soup
What was the last television show you watched, and was it good?
>>>  Kookey, a local TV show here. It is not that good for the children but they enjoyed it but one nephew of mine does not like the show and while we were watching it last night, he kept telling his sister to change the channel.By the way, my baby CT likes the soundtrack or theme song so much that he would jump up and down in his walker at the same time clapping his hands and showing a big smile every time the music is played after every scene.

Salad
If you had to paint the walls of your living room tomorrow, what color would you choose?
>>> Rainbow colors and if I could paint the rainbow then it would be better. My mom though would be surprised!

Main Course
Name something clever or practical you have thought of that should be invented, but hasn’t yet.
>>> A universal remote control like the one I saw in a movie (I forgot the title). I just want to use it for the household chores or if possible at work so that with just one click, it's done. But that would make us lazy then, wouldn't it? :)

Dessert
List 3 things you would like to receive as gifts this upcoming holiday season

>>> Airconditioner or electric fan (1 small which I can put on top of the table and 1 stand fan), Party package gift certificate at Pizza Hut or McDonald's.

I thought there is going to be no feast for this week but here it is! Happy weekend everyone! :)

Royal Mandaya Hotel

While I was going around the exhibitors' booths in the Davao Trade Expo 2007 held at NCCC Mall Davao City, I got to this booth of Royal Mandaya Hotel in Davao City. It so happen that our bosses from Manila, who were also here at that time for the annual company planning to be held at the Malagos Garden Resort, were staying at this hotel. I heard though that they were saying that the service was not that good and the information/front desk was not that efficient. I guess the hotel service did not meet up to their expectations.

CT’s First Airplane Ride

This photo of CT and daddy was taken before 6AM while we were waiting in line to enter the Davao International Airport Last October 18 during CT's first ride in an airplane and his first travel outside Davao. He looks  little bit sleepy already in this photo since he woke up at early around 4AM. We took the first flight to Cebu from Davao. It is also the first time that the three of us traveled together. We were going to stopover in Cebu for a day then we will go to Dumaguete to attend the wedding of my hubby's cousin En-en. I will put in my future posts the photos we took of CT inside the airplane where he behaved well. We thought that he would be uneasy during the flights but he obviously enjoyed it. He made new friends from female passengers in the plane whom he constantly smiled at during the whole flight.

The Missing Nanny

Yes, CT's nanny is missing again. We agreed that she will be allowed to go home yesterday, November 01 but must be back by noon today supposedly. But she is back again to her old style and she has not shown up yet until now and has not even texted us that she will not make it today or whenever she is planning to come back. Well she knows the consequence when she does not show up on our agreed time. She was laughing when I reminded her about it. I am really disappointed coz we told her that she is on probation because of her absences after she has her day-off. She might probably went to see her boyfriend or she may have decided to take a longer vacation but we have an agreement. What do you do when your nanny does not come back from her day-off on time?

Fwendz Diner’s Baby Back Ribs

We went back again last Wednesday night at Fwendz Diner to taste their popular and in demand baby back ribs. The first time we were there, it run out of stock so we told the owner, Tope Cubos, who was my hubby's former boardmate in USC-TC Talamban, Cebu that we would come back again and to make sure they still have it, I had my hubby call Tope before we went there to reserve two orders for us.

So here it is, Fwendz Diner's very own baby back ribs.

I like it and it was good but in my own opinion, I liked their pork spare ribs barbeque a lot better because it is more tender and juicy (which I ordered the first time we were there since the baby back ribs was no longer available that time).
